    Preston works for Federated Co-op Ltd, and has great passion for being involved with organizations such as SYPE. If elected, he promises to bring a multitude of new members to SYPE who share his passion. A vote for Preston is a vote for the future of SYPE.

    Adam Zbitniff has been a board member with SYPE Saskatoon since June 2016 as the Student Coordinator and member of the Events Committee. He is currently finishing his Bachelor of Commerce degree and working for PotashCorp in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations. Adam is an avid hockey player (is missing a tooth because of it), snowboarder and golfer. He is passionate about connecting the business community and looks forward to continuing to work with SYPE into the future!

    Jolene Bates-Chomyn is a young professional born and raised in Saskatoon. She studied business/finance at the Edwards School of Business (U of S) and started working in Insurance and Risk Management at Marsh Canada shortly after convocation; focusing on servicing client needs and streamlining processes including operations and technology (O&T). Jolene is passionate about insurance and process improvements and is a self-professed nerd. Jolene is her office’s O&T champion and local tech support. In her free-time, Jolene loves to spend time with her dog Watson, cook with her boyfriend Kyle, and read. Family is a big part of her life and lucky for her they are mostly based in Saskatoon/Saskatchewan. Her ideal focus for SYPE is awareness, membership growth and engagement.

    Samantha has a strong ability to build stakeholder networks and relationships, and a keen sense of the provincial and federal political landscape.  She has extensive experience supporting successful political campaigns at the municipal, provincial and federal levels, including working in the Saskatchewan Party War Room in both the 2011 and 2016 provincial elections. 

    Prior to joining Harris Greenaway Communications in 2016, Samantha spent five years in various roles with the Government of Saskatchewan.  Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff to the Premier in Executive Council and Communications Coordinator. Ministerial Assistant to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General Gord Wyant. Government Relations with the Honourable Jim Reiter.  She provided issues management, policy research, media preparation, speech writing and legislative business support.

    Samantha has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Studies from the University of Saskatchewan.

    Spending the last three years working in the Fort McMurray area has helped to show Tessa how special Saskatchewan is.  Now home again and working as a Field Engineer in Saskatoon, Tessa is excited to re-immerse herself in the community.  As a candidate for the SYPE Board, Tessa offers experience in project & event planning, fundraising, corporate sponsorship, and administration.  This experience has been gained in positions such as Co-Chair of the National Conference on Women in Engineering Saskatoon Bid (2014), Vice-President and Business/Marketing Director of the U of S FSAE team (2011-2), and Public Relations Coordinator for Cameco Spectrum (2010).  For fun, Tessa enjoys tackling home reno projects with her husband, Mike, and spending time outdoors with their a**hole of a dog.  She is also a Netflix enthusiast and an avid knitter.

    Ilkin is an Associate Consultant at the Private Wealth Management firm which serves High Net Worth clients. He has graduated from University of Saskatchewan in 2016 with great distinction. He has worked in a number of positions, such as Assistant Asset Manager at SaskPower and tutor for Finance and Accounting classes at Edwards School of Business. Over the years he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in administrative and financial matters. In 2018, Ilkin will be writing the final, Level 3, exam for his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, camping, fishing and volunteering for the local communities.

    My name is Jordana. I am from Saskatoon - born & raised - but I lived abroad for a while, taking positions in Mexico & New Zealand but then returning home to pursue my post-secondary education.

    I am a recent Edwards School of Business graduate (majored in Marketing, minored in Finance -- also achieved the Advanced Global Business Stream designation). During my tenure at the U of S, I was heavily involved in a variety of student groups, including:  

    I now work at Vendasta as a Business Development Representative and look forward to growing with the company as they continue to shatter records & take on the global tech space. 

    From this position, I am looking to network with other local professionals that enjoy going above and beyond just the day-to-day mundane activities of adulthood, and to be apart of a team that looks to bring new ideas & events to young professionals in Saskatoon.

    Name: Erin Holm

    Company: City of Saskatoon

    Position: Communications Consultant, Corporate Performance

    Bio: I have worked in a number of industries, from construction to professional sport in marketing and communications roles for over a decade. Originally an Alberta girl, I came to Saskatoon to complete my MBA back in 2011 and have yet to leave. I find this City to be quite progressive, exciting and a great place for young professionals and entrepreneurs to make an impact. Currently, I am on my second and final year on the IABC Saskatoon board of directors as sponsorship co-chair and would be very interested in joining the SYPE board to assist with marketing, communications and any other roles you feel I may suit.

    Name: Roxanne Olynyk

    Company: MNP

    Position: Accountant specializing in Agriculture

    Bio: Roxanne is a designated professional with MNP LLP in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Specializing in serving the agriculture sector, Roxanne assists a wide variety of agricultural clients including grain farmers, dairies, feedlots, cooperatives, land owners and land renters, to name a few. Working closely with clients Roxanne assists in all areas of their business including audits, financial statements and tax compliance, agriculture insurance programs, as well as exit and succession planning. Roxanne recently became designated as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Distinction from the University of Regina. In her spare time Roxanne enjoys motivating others as a spin instructor. She enjoys anything active and considers herself an athletic enthusiast. In particular she enjoys beach and indoor volleyball, yoga, and running in addition to cycling. Roxanne also loves to travel any time she is able to get away and has been to Europe, Asia, Australia and the Caribbean.

    Title: Marketing Strategist

    Bio: Brianne is a Marketing Strategist at Envirotec Services Inc., a leading environmental and industrial services provider. In this role she specializes in marketing strategy, digital marketing and sponsorship management. Brianne has ten years of design and event planning experience and has served on the organizing committees for both the Canadian Mining Games and the World Mining Competition. She has previously served a term as an active Board Member of the Downtown Business Improvement District and is currently a mentor and coach for the Edwards JDC West Business Strategy Team. Brianne is a self-proclaimed coffee addict, dog lover and travel enthusiast.

    Name: Aygul Aliyeva

    Title: Master in Tourism, Heritage and Development

    Bio: My name is Aygul Aliyeva. I'm a SYPE member and would like to be on the SYPE Executive. As we enter the New Year and set our goals for the next 12 months, many of us want to make a difference in our lives, careers and ensure our skills stand out for all the right reasons. I am a graduate of Glasgow University of the UK with Masters degree in Tourism, Heritage, and Development, and have several years of event and marketing coordination experience. After marriage, I moved to Saskatoon and I want to be an active member of this community. Since I'm not working I have plenty of time and knowledge to carry this responsibility. I'm enthusiastic to run Event Manager role as a part of the Board of Directors.

    Name: Anna Burton

    Company: Children's Hospital Foundation

    Title: Special Events Manager

    Bio: As the Special Events Manager for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, Anna has the pleasure of working with many volunteers, sponsors, and community leaders to drive the success of three internal special events throughout Saskatchewan. Anna has experience working on several committees in the city, including a term as Chair of the NSBA 2.0 in 2014, which is responsible for serving their 2.0, or young, membership. For fun, Anna likes to play team sports of all kinds, enjoys camping, traveling and hanging out with other people‘s dogs. Anna is interested in joining the SYPE executive to help ensure that Saskatoon’s young professionals have a fun and engaging presence in our community.

    Name: Matthew Bennett

    Company: McKercher LLP

    Title: Lawyer

    Bio: Matthew is born and raised in Saskatoon. He spent most of his youth dancing and competing at Brenda’s School of Baton and Dance. He completed his undergrad in Finance at the Edwards School of Business in 2012 before completing his J.D. at the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. Matthew is a junior associate at McKercher LLP in Saskatoon. He carries on a general practice and is a member of McKercher’s Entrepreneur Practice Group as well as its Resource Practice Group. Matthew has sat on numerous Boards including the World Mining Competition and JDC West, among others. Currently he is a Director for Enactus Saskatchewan, a student organization working to create a better and more sustainable Saskatchewan. One of Matthew’s passions is politics. He has a long career of canvassing and working campaigns as well as serving as constituency president for a major Saskatchewan political party. Matthew through his active SYPE membership, has enjoyed and benefited greatly from SYPE’s events. If elected Matthew believes that his skills in event planning, governance, and advocacy will contribute to building and enhancing SYPE’s ability to connect Saskatchewan’s Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs
